DIMENSIONS: width x length

The WIDTH is measured across the opening of the bag. The LENGTH is measured from the opening of the bag to its base. All measurements refer to interior dimensions.

Gusseted Bags

side or bottom gusset. A gusset is a fold on the bag that gives added depth by creating either expandable sides or bottom.

SIDE GUSSET DIMENSIONS:

width x depth of side gusset x length

BOTTOM GUSSET DIMENSIONS:

width x length x depth of bottom gusset

The DEPTH is measured across the gusset (side or bottom) of the bag when the gusset is EXTENDED.

Ziplock Bags:

All Ziplock bags have a standard 1" lip above the ziplock closure.

DIMENSIONS: Width x length

The WIDTH is measured across the opening of the bag, inside the zipper seal. The LENGTH is measured from the bottom of the bag to the BOTTOM of the ziplock seal.

Resins:

All our resins are available in prime, virgin Low Density or Linear Low Density Polyethylene manufactured in North America.

Thickness or Gauge:

The thickness, or "gauge", of a plastic bag refers to the thickness of a single wall of the bag, generally measured in mils.

Common Use:

Light weight bags: 0.8 - 1.2 mil often used for produce bags.

Standard weight bags:

1.5 mil used for food, scratch protection, storing, display.

Medium weight commercial bags:

2.0 mil used for foods, garments, shipping.

Heavy weight bags:

3 - 5 mil used for parts, for shipping and is scuff and tear resistance.
